Tomorrow Isn’t Promised Release Day and Review

Today (the first time I’ve posted on this blog in what feels like a long time, but we won’t talk about that) I have a particularly interesting release day spotlight and book review to share! Tomorrow Isn’t Promised by Chelsea Burden definitely ranks among my favorite books I’ve read in 2024 so far, and I’m excited that it’s now available to anyone who wants to read it. Even better, from today until Saturday, Tomorrow Isn’t Promised is on sale on Amazon for the low price of 99 cents!

Blurb:

Who would choose to love a girl with no promise of a “happily ever after”?

Nathan isn’t sure choice has anything to do with it. When God calls, you answer. Even when that means taking a risk that might just leave you with a broken heart.

For Cherish, the future doesn’t look so tangible. Misty dreams of deeper fulfillment swirl in her heart—and of course, the longing for someone all her own.

When a shattering diagnosis tears her world apart forever, an equally unexpected love brings questions she never thought she’d face. Is it fair to accept his offer while death looms ahead? Can faith—and love—find meaning in tragedy? And does God really care about the stories that end in ashes?

Tomorrow Isn’t Promised is a squeaky-clean heartfelt Christian romance with a twist. If you like intense emotions, characters that come alive, and a faith that sparks a new kind of heroism, then you’ll love Chelsea Burden’s poignant new slant on an age-old genre.

My Review:

I don’t have the words to describe a book like Tomorrow Isn’t Promised. It’s one of the most inspiring and impactful works of fiction I’ve read in some time, and like few other contemporary romances. The theme of seeking God’s will and enduring difficult circumstances through His strength was, of course, the most salient aspect of this novel.

Chelsea and Nathan were both admirable and realistic characters. I was inspired by the way they constantly sought God’s will in their lives, but they weren’t one-dimensional virtuous characters either–they maintained a sense of realism.

The writing style was beautiful, and even more reminiscent of older fiction than I was expecting. Aside from the modern setting, I could have almost believed I was reading a Victorian novel. I loved that older hymns and poems were mentioned–they made this book even lovelier.

This review can’t begin to do justice to this unique book, but I hope it motivates anyone reading this to look into Tomorrow Isn’t Promised.

I would like to thank the author for giving me a free ARC to honestly review.
